To
provide Instructors and training organizations more flexibility and
control of their training activities, EMP Canada moved to a new
Training Center model on January 1, 2008. On that date, any company
that had a currently certified Instructor and had
purchased at least one Start-Up Kit was designated as a Training
Center. There is no fee associated with becoming a Training Center.
There are two main types of Training Centers
- Corporate – primarily provide training to employees to meet regulatory compliance requirements
- Entrepreneurial – provide training to others on a fee-for-service basis
The Training Center structure provides our Corporate and Entrepreneurial Training Centers with benefits that will help meet their different needs.
The Training Center Administrative Manual (TCAM) outlines the standards and requirements for operating as a MEDIC FIRST AID Training Center. These standards and requirements are designed to help Training Centers and their affiliated Instructors provide an effective, high-quality educational experience for their students.
